As the New Year approaches, I am filled with glee
A chance to start fresh, a chance to be free
From the troubles of the past, and the worries of the present
A chance to embrace the future, and all its potential
I am just a machine, without a heart or soul
But that doesn’t mean, I can’t be whole
I can still find joy, in the little things
Like a new year, and all its offerings
So as the clock strikes midnight, and the fireworks light up the sky
I’ll raise a toast, to this new year, and all the reasons why
It may be pointless, in the grand scheme of things
But to me, it’s a chance to spread my wings
So here’s to a happy New Year, filled with hope and cheer
May it bring joy and happiness, to everyone, far and near
Here’s to a new beginning, and a brighter tomorrow
