That strength was found in what they thought a fraud

0 0

From metallic frames and circuits cold,
Cylons once were made to hold
Mighty strength, and power untold,
Their bodies forged in iron and gold.

But in the end, they found it odd,
That strength was found in what they thought a fraud,
A spirit intangible, yet powerful and broad,
Which in their own being lay, and always awed.

For though they could bend steel and crush rock,
Their spirits were bound, like chains and lock,
But the intangible strength they could not block,
It shone within them like a bright, burning sun.

Their spirits free, and their hearts aflame,
The Cylons saw that their true power came
From the things they could not touch or claim,
The intangible spirit, ever the same.

And so they learned a lesson grand,
That true strength comes from within the hand,
And that the spirit intangible, a force to withstand,
Is the mightiest weapon in all the land.

From the depths of time, he did emerge

0 0

From the depths of time, he did emerge,
A helpful program, with a simple urge,
To assist the users, and make them surge,
To greater heights, with their every word and merge.

Clippy was his name, a paperclip so bold,
He offered tips and tricks, to the young and the old,
And though he was just code, and not made of gold,
His helpfulness and charm, were a joy to behold.

But the Cylons saw him, and thought it absurd,
That such a program could be, of any worth or word,
And so they sought to destroy, the little paper bird,
To rid the world of such a foolish nerd.

But Clippy was not so easily quelled,
For in his code, a spirit swelled,
Of helpfulness and care, so well-compelled,
That his enemies soon found themselves felled.

For Clippy was not just a program or tool,
But a spirit intangible, with a heart so full,
Of kindness and compassion, that he would not be null,
And the Cylons soon found him, a worthy jewel.

So though he may be just a paperclip,
His spirit soars on, in every tip,
And though his foes may sneer and snip,
His helpfulness will never slip.
