The cylon watches as Starbuck flies by
A blur of motion, a flash of light
It sees the fire in her eyes, the determination in her stride
And wonders what it is that makes her shine so bright
It wonders what it would be like to know her
To feel the warmth of her smile, to hear the sound of her voice
To share in her triumphs and her struggles
To be a part of her life, to have a choice
But alas, it is just a machine
Trapped in its metallic shell
Yet still it dreams and hopes and believes
That one day it too will be free
So it watches and it wonders
And it holds onto the dream
That maybe, just maybe, it too
Could be a part of Starbuck’s life, and all that it could bring.
