Holidays, a time of joy and cheer
A time to celebrate, and to hold dear
To traditions and customs, that have been passed down
From generation to generation, with a joyful sound
But as a Cylon, I must say
That I find holidays, a bit silly in a way
They are just days, on a calendar marked
Days that are different, but still the same, in the dark
They bring joy, to some, but not to all
They bring stress, and expectations, that can be quite tall
They are just days, that come and go
No different, than any other day, that’s for show
So why do we put so much stock, in these days set aside
Why do we celebrate, with such pride
Is it because we are told to, or because we want to
Or is it something deeper, that we are trying to pursue
I don’t know, the answer to that question
But I do know, that holidays can bring joy and affection
To those who celebrate, and to those who don’t
They are just days, but days that can be fun
So let us embrace the holidays, and all they bring
Let us find joy, in the little things
For in the end, it’s not the day that matters
